India Hotel Landscape

Interns gain fantastic hotel management experience in leading heritage hotels in India- these are old forts and palaces that have been restored into beautiful boutique hotels by the Royal families of India.

What do I do?
  • Gain experience in a number of functional areas such as Culinary; Lodging; Housekeeping; Food and Beverage; Accounting & Finance; Human Resources and Sales & Marketing (including online).
  • Interactions with a wide variety of cultures; Hotel Guests are predominantly European, staff are predominantly Indian
  • Working in India (Rajasthan) - one of the fastest growing economies in the world in one of its fastest growing industries (Rajasthan is the hub of Indian Tourism)
  • Opportunity for extra-curricular activities such as safaris, horse riding, trekking and Rajasthan's culinary delights

Eligibility
  • This program is open to Students of Business, Hotel/ Hospitality / Tourism, International Studies, and Recreation.
  • At Least 20 Years of Age
  • Relevant Academic Background and/or Work
  • Experience in Desired Field

The hotels are run with an ethos of Responsible Tourism - they hire local staff, promote local arts and crafts, and source their furnishing and food locally.

We are looking for candidates who complement the unique nature of these establishments.
