London, England & Rome, Italy
AIFS brings you a unique opportunity to explore a tale of two cities: London and Rome. Both of these illustrious capitals are built on ancient foundations and acclaimed for their iconic monuments, architectural treasures, world-class museums and rich artistic heritage. London today celebrates its diversity and multiculturalism in all corners of the city from markets where you can sample food from all over the world to pioneering music and innovation in design and the arts. You can still enjoy the capital’s old world charm with a drink in a cozy pub or escape to one of the many leafy, urban parks. Rome is la dolce vita: eat alfresco in an historic piazza or join the locals in your neighborhood trattoria, hear ancient stories of the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and be inspired by Renaissance masterpieces in this incredible outdoor museum. Once the seat of the Roman Empire, Rome’s wealth of art and history is unparalleled.

Students will take 2 courses in London and 2 courses in Rome for a maximum of 12 credits. Choose from 3 academic tracks - The Arts, Global Issues/Social Identity and Psychology or take courses from all three for an interdisciplinary approach. You can also take Italian language in Rome instead of the regular content courses.

This program is designed for students who wish to take courses in a broad range of academic disciplines many of which relate specifically to the history, art, architecture, culture, economics and politics of Britain and make special use of the resources available in London. Many of these classes also satisfy major or general education requirements.

Enjoy cultural and social activities including:
  • Day trips around Rome
  • Theater performances
  • Music concerts
  • Cooking classes
  • Visit to an English soccer game
  • Day trips to Oxford (Spring) or Stonehenge and Salisbury (Fall)
Optional 3-day trips to Paris and Venice are offered as well.
