If you are undecided about your major or career path or if you are interested in exploring a totally new subject in depth from a variety of perspectives, the Interdisciplinary Studies program is for you! Called “Minor Programmes” by VU Amsterdam, our Interdisciplinary Studies program allows you both freedom to choose your theme and the guarantee that no classes will overlap. You select from a set combination of courses in a specific field. See Program Structure section for available Program Tracks. Only offered in the Fall semester.

Students take courses with other international and Dutch students at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), ranked one of the top 100 universities in the world. With over 350 courses regularly taught in English and a focus on research and academic excellence, VU Amsterdam provides an ideal setting for study abroad. Upon completing the program students receive a transcript from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
