In today's world, the importance of globalism is obvious.  In an ever-shrinking world, the ability to work with people from other cultures is imperative for any career in business, industry, or academia.  The ability to speak a language other than English and familiarity with an international workplace will dramatically improve your career prospects after college, both in terms of finding a job and excelling once you're there.  EF is pleased, therefore, to offer the International Internship Course, which allows students to develop fluency in a language while gaining valuable work experience in a business or organization abroad.  Whether you're interested in experiencing marketing in Beijing or healthcare in Barcelona, an internship abroad will help you develop an international perspective in your chosen field.

College Credit and More

The ideal EF International Internship student is someone proficient in his or her langauge of study and committed to breaking down barriers across cultures, languages and geography.  This unique course combines advanced language study with real workplace experience -- you'll spend the mornings developing your language skills and your afternoons putting them to use in the workplace.  You'll also have career workshops to help you improve your international employment potential.  You'll leave this truly immersive experience having gained fluency in a second language, college credit for the language component of your course, and an international résumé.

Stress-Free Study Abroad

If the thought of planning a semester abroad or finding an internship stresses you out, you're in luck.  EF will take care of every detail, from finding you a relevant internship placement to arranging your flights to providing travel insurance through one of our partners. You can choose to live either in a residence with other EF students, or in one of our carefully-selected host families.  The host family option comes with its own meal-plan - you'll be provided with home-cooked meals.  The EF staff also plans a number of cultural excursions and group-bonding activities, and you'll have the opportunity to pursue elective courses in your area of interest.
