Global Sports Business Strategy in the UK

This three-week Global Sports Business Strategy program exposes you to international sports businesses and highlights business strategies and priorities for both US-based sports businesses operating in international markets and Global companies that engage with US consumers. This program is an excellent way for a student interested in an international career to experience the possibilities of international markets in a firsthand and intensive immersion. It is important to understand how the cultural, social, and political context affects business strategies across core functions. You will engage in a comparative exploration of sports business industries and markets throughout the UK. London will be your home base for most of the program, although you will also travel to Scotland and Wales to engage with executives and staff from a myriad of international sports business organizations, participate in sporting activities, and experience other sporting events as spectators, enhancing your cultural understanding of the role that sport plays in countries around the world. You will gain perspective on your own native sports culture in comparison to others around the world, which will help you become a more informed and insightful professional.

Students will need to take SBUS 250 Sports Business and Society before the program start as a pre-requisite or online during the summer.
