Study China Summer Program at East China Normal University

This summer program offers students the opportunity to improve their Chinese language skills in a small, intimate class setting. Students will participate in an intensive Chinese language class and also take part in cultural activities and excursions around the city of Shanghai. Students will be able to obtain a better understanding of Chinese culture and society. In the past, excursions and activities have included a river cruise, acrobatic show, and lectures on Chinese cuisine and Tai chi. A four-day excursion to Beijing is available for an additional fee.

East China Normal University (ECNU) was established in 1951, and is one of China’s most highly-ranked and prestigious universities. ECNU welcomes many international students to its campus every year, and its programs offer students an opportunity to experience university life in China in a unique and personal way. Known as the “Garden Campus”, ECNU offers a special environment within the busy hustle and bustle of Shanghai.

Shanghai is a huge, bustling city located at the mouth of the Yangtze River in East China. It is well-known for its financial markets, shopping, dining and an incredible range of arts and cultural attractions. Shanghai is home to nearly 25 million inhabitants.
