Paris Summer - Internship

Program Overview

Intern in one of the world's highest regarded cities for culture and international business. Walk or take the bus through the city’s vibrant streets, or hop on the Métro to get to work. Lunchtime means quiche or a sandwich au jambon in a nearby café, followed by a leisurely espresso or tea. An IES internship develops your professional skills, your ability to communicate across cultures, and provides substantive work experience to jump-start your career in today’s competitive job market.

You'll be guaranteed an unpaid placement at a local business or organization, where you'll work for at least 25 hours a week. You also will enroll in a required 1- or 6-credit academic internship seminar with other IES interns, where you’ll learn about a variety of local business settings and opportunities.

You know what it’s like to fall in love—but Paris won’t break your heart. You’ll want to spend all of your time admiring cultural icons like the Eiffel Tower. You’ll get lost in the city’s exquisite art scene. You’ll want to savor the decadent French cuisine at local restaurants.
