Program Description:

Summer 2025: June 7 - July 26

Open to all majors!

No Chinese language requirement.

Fulfills the COLFA Second Language Experience language requirement. 
This 3-week program in Taichung, a city rich in traditional Chinese culture and language, offers students the chance to immerse themselves in Chinese communities through experiential activities focused on living, studying, working, and cultural engagement. Organized by UTSA, the program features excursions, reflective sessions, and an individual project that students can customize to align with their academic interests. Participants can also add this experience to their transcript. Hosted by National Taichung University of Education, the program includes cultural events and guided tours. The program leader, Dr. Xiaolong Lu (contact: xiaolong.lu@utsa.edu), will teach courses on Chinese language and society. With the opportunity to earn 6 credits in just three weeks, this program is both enriching and rewarding. Check the host university’s location below:
